Landscape painter, muralist and illustrator with a specialty in Alaskan scenes dating from 1898, Leonard Davis was born in Winchendon, Massachusetts. He painted extensively in the national parks. An itinerant, he made trips to Alaska where he was a gold miner, and he focused his painting skills on scenes of Alaska.
