An exceptionally fine portrait of a notable Cincinnatian, Mabel Wood Pogue, who was descended from the Mitchell Furniture and Pogue Department Store families, executed in oil and pastels, signed l.r. By Therese Marie Geraldy (French, b. 1886). A label on verso identifies the sitter and is inscribed "Paris, 1926, Aged 18 years." 22" x 14.5" (sight), 28" x 20" (framed). This was likely a portrait executed while Ms. Pogue was making a Grand Tour.
