A Chinese red under glaze porcelain dragon pattern vase

The shape of this underglaze red vase is elegant and straight, and the glaze is firm and smooth, white and delicate, like fat and jade. The whole body is decorated with red in the glaze, and the motif of the body is decorated with a flying dragon. The painted blue dragon stands up high, powerful and extremely precious.
PROVENANCE:From The Estate of Garold G. Darty(1930-2019) of Bear, DE. Born in Townsend, DE on June 29, 1930, Garold was a life-long Delaware resident. He served in the U. S. Army National Guard from 1948 until 1954. He worked as a surveyor for Delaware Dept. of Transportation for 37 years, from 1954 until retiring in 1991. A devoted family man, he especially loved family gatherings and crab feasts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, working in his yard, garden, and home. He was a faithful Phillies and NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed traveling and sight-seeing all across the country and accomplished his goal of visiting 48 of the 50 states. Bud was a member of The United Methodist Church, Georgetown, where he served as an usher and enjoyed the fellowship of his church family.
