CHINESE INK PAINTING OF PINES TREE IN MOUNTAINS

Huang Binhong (January 27, 1865 - March 25, 1955) was born in Shexian County, Huizhou (now Huangshan City), Anhui Province. He was born in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province. He grew up in tandu village, Shexian County, his hometown.He is a famous painter and scholar in modern times. He is good at landscape painting and is a great master of landscape painting.

PROVENANCE:From The Estate of David George Glen (1924-2016) of Delaware, raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, the son of William and Agnes Glen. His formal education was completed at Daniels Stewarts College, Edinburgh, after which he entered the field of medicine. He was a certified rehabilitation specialist, serving in military and civilian hospitals in the United Kingdom. From 1942 to 1945, he served in the Royal Air Force. In 1955 David immigrated to the United States, becoming a citizen in 1961.
