款识：辛酉端午，吴郡金榕写意。印鉴：寿石 （购于上海朵云轩） 该幅作品中的钟馗豹头环眼，铁面虬髯，潇洒飘逸，栩栩如生， 呼之欲出，风骨独具，是一幅不可多得的精品。在民间，人们用他的形象制作成各种艺术品，放置在住宅里或大门口，希望驱逐邪恶，获得平安。 金寿石 原名金榕，（1885-1928），字寿石。江苏吴县人。清光绪十年生。（见《民国画家汇传》P129）海上著名画家。金梦石兄。画宗山阴任氏，人物、山水、花鸟、走兽皆工妙，几可乱真。居沪卖画年久，颇负时名。
