A Group of Six Wooden Boxes: Three 19th Century Desk Boxes & Three Tea Caddies: The smallest desk box composed of mahogany with a brass lined slot to the top of the hinged lid and diamond shaped bone escutcheon inlaid to the front 6" x 9" x 7" (15 cm x 23 cm x 18 cm). The next veneered in dark figured walnut with ebonised borders and a mother-of-pearl inset shield to the hinged lid 4½" x 9¾" x 6½" (11 cm x 25 cm x 17 cm). The largest inlaid with two 'Tunbridge-ware' bands (A/F), 5" x 12" x 8" (13 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm). One tea caddy of mahogany with hinged lid opening to reveal three tin compartments within, standing on bracket feet 5¾" x 11" x 5½" (14.5 cm x 28 cm x 14 cm). A mahogany & walnut oval box-form caddy with flat hinged lid, 4½" x 6½" x 4" (11.5 cm x 16.5 cm x 10 cm). And a satinwood & parquetry caddy of beveled rectangular form; the canted corners inlaid with ebony chequered diamonds, with hinged lid with further parquetry opening to reveal a lidded interior lined in marbled paper. 4¾" x 5¾" x 4" (12 cm x 14.5 cm x 10 cm).
