A 19th Century Biedermeier Birds-eye Maple Work Box/Table. The hinged rectangular top cross-banded with rosewood, pivoting to access a frieze compartment and folding over to double the surface. The octagonal centre pedestal with bevelled rosewood collar meeting a quadriform platform on squat bun feet, 29½" (75 cm) high, 18" (46 cm) wide, 11¾" (30 cm) deep.
