A Large Victorian Papier-mâché Tray by Jennens & Bettridge. The serpentine-edged black lacquered tray inlaid with mother-of-pearl and enriched with gilding centred by a petal-edged cartouche depicting a chinoiserie scene surrounded by small vignettes of flowers and scenes on a nacre flecked ground enriched with intricate gilded foliate embellishments. The back stamped JENNENS & BETTRIDGE BIRMM LONDON, 23¾" x 31½" (60 cm x 80 cm).
