A 19th Century Black Lacquered Humidor with Gilded Chinoiserie Decoration. The lid centred by a intricately detailed scroll depicting a gathering of dignitaries surmounted by a kylin head and held by figures either within border bands of delicate gilt feathers. The sides fitted with swing handles. The interior housing a lift out cigar rack pierced with a grid of circular holes, 9" (23 cm) high, 13" x 10" (33 cm x 26 cm).
