款识：|1.鼎萍黄侃。|2.何心派别起纷争，自有工夫可证明。同是写狮能渴笔，况于生纸现狰狞。吾粤写此派画者，向不能用中国纸而尤不敢用中国生纸，能写中国生纸者独为鼎萍，然则鼎萍亦足以自豪矣。客有以此索题者，因有所感，书此归之。戊辰夏至，南海潘龢书于抱残室。|钤印：黄侃、潘致中、荥阳|作者简介：黄鼎萍（1890-1976），广东顺德人。自幼习国画，又兼习西画，曾与程竹韵、何剑士等人组织书画观摩会、尚美图画研究所。擅走兽，尤擅猿猴，多用没骨法，且注意透视，栩栩如生。解放后为中国美术家协会会员，和广东美术家协会会员。
