款识：同治癸酉初夏，伯年任颐。|钤印：颐印|作者简介：任伯年（1840-1896），浙江绍兴人。“海派”之中最卓著的全才型的画家，于人物、花鸟、虫鱼、山水无所不能，无所不精；尤以人物和花鸟最为卓著，其状物造型，可随手生发；无论是精工细描，或是泼墨写意，皆涉笔成趣；无论是巨幅大制，或是小帧细品都游刃有余。其技艺之精深和全面，不仅在“海派”诸名家之中极为突出，而且在近代中国画坛上也实为罕见。
