1975 Joseph Perrier Cuvee Royale Brut Very badly damaged and missing labels 12x75cl This case was stored in perfect conditions although it was damaged by water, hence the condition of the labels, but has not effected the wine. A delicate pop when first opened. The colour is a striking shimmering gold. A mousse quickly disappears but fine bubbles in the glass persist for a good 30 mins. The first taste is of fresh tart apples, but quickly becomes sweeter, softer and with a beautiful creme caramel and stone fruits flavour, but with the elegance of great white burgundy. A wine that can be enjoyed on its own, but it's striking acidity married with sublime mature flavours makes me think this is best with food Mark Robertson - Dreweatts April 2021
