A Chinese Yaozhou celadon bowl, Northern Song Dynasty, 12th century, with moulded decoration to the interior with a composite floral scroll, the exterior with floral band obscured by the glaze, covered overall in an olive-green glaze, with Christie's paper label from 'F.M. Mayer auction 24/5 June 1974' and paper label for the joint British Museum and O.C.S Green Wares Exhibition, 1997, no. 72, 17.8cm diameter Provenance: purchased by the late J.B. da Silva (1918-2003) at Bonham's, 29th March 1985, lot 12, for £165.
