A Japanese Shonzui porcelain blue and white sakazuki stand, 18th century, painted with alternating panels of the Three Friends and geometric designs, the base signed with Dai Nihon Eiraku dzo, mark of Zengoro Hozen, 11cm diameter and a Japanese Arita Imari dish, early 19th century, with spurious Jiajing marks, 18cm diameter (2) Provenance: The sake cup stand purchased by the late J.B. da Silva (1918-2003) at Phillips, 3rd January 1979, lot 69 and by family descent. The dish purchased from Monk and Son, London, April 1960 for 10 shillings. No receipts but itemised in the collection notes.
