|此对胆瓶尺寸形制统一，瓶口方唇微侈，瘦颈，腹部下垂呈胆状，故以胆瓶称之。圈足工整，足底露胎，为火石红裹覆，略有跳刀痕迹。胎色灰白，质地密实。全器施青釉，色如青梅，釉面点撒褐斑，东洋谓之「飞青瓷」，取褐斑在青瓷上「放飞」之意，见小林仁，《国宝『飞青瓷花生』考》，载于《龙泉窑瓷器研究》，北京，2013年，403页。日人常以此作为花器，又以「花生」称之。实则早在宋代，胆瓶虽为酒器，但也被作为花器使用。如「堪羡纱窗，胆瓶斜浸，浅酌低讴，人花双洁。」（李曾伯《醉蓬莱（和韵）》）是为酒器；「冰盆荔子堪尝，胆瓶茉莉尤香。」（刘克庄《清平乐（居厚弟生日）》）是为花器。此对胆瓶成双成对，就更为难得。
