Michael Zeno Diemer Germany,1867-1939 Depicts a grand sailing vessel rolling in the waves. Diemer studied at the Academy in Munich under Gabriel von Hackl and Alexander von Liezen-Mayer and traveled along the coast of southern Italy painting the Alps. In 1893, Diemer traveled to the United States where he showcased a diorama with Beatus Wieland for the World's Fair in Chicago. Oil on canvas,Canvas 27 5/8" x 37 3/4",Frame 35" x 45 5/8" Signed "M.
