Ca. 1912 Pair of Chinese panels from a building on Powell Street in Vancouver's historic Chinatown. The Chinese characters on the panels wish the new owners "good luck in their new country" and were to be for the exterior of the building, but were never installed. The panels remained in storage until resurfacing in 2003. As they were intended for exterior use most architectural pieces of this type suffer from natural weathering, it is extremely rare to find a pair in this condition.122"H x 16.5"W
