Interesting early Impressionist view of girls by the sea that links back to a variation of paintings by Renior during 1894 titled "Girls By The Sea, Girls By The Water and Girls By The Sea 2' Each composition has subtle differences as does this piece that looks like a sketched version of the other works. How many variations of these paintings Renior produced is unknown. The painting needs further research as is, at worst, an early Renoir interest painting closely linked to the painter and his circle.
