An Indian painted leather roundel, circa 1800 The slightly domed shield made of sturdy leather with four brass shield bosses. Original paintwork. The front with a depiction of the sun surrounded by a tendril frieze in the centre. A finely painted border of tigers fighting against wild boar, buffalo and an elephant.
