A North Indian gold-inlaid tulwar, late 18th century Slightly curved, single-edged blade with a double-edged point and triple fullers on both sides. Fullered along the back edge, three marks struck into the fullers on the obverse. Elaborately inlaid iron hilt with a well-preserved, fine pattern of clouds in gold, the edges of the inlays rubbed in places. Fine inlays on both sides of the pommel plate, the intricately openworked pommel cap with a movable loop. Length 91 cm.Condition: II +
