A German cuirassier’s helmet, 17th century Two-piece forged skull blackened at a later date with high, narrow comb, surrounding lining rivets with remnants of the leather cover, on the reverse plume socket. Pivoted, riveted visor crafted in several pieces with extended peak (closure hook of later date?) and curved vision slits. Pivoted bevor with lateral latch. One-piece ridged gorget and neck guard with roped edges, the neck guard with shamrock mark on the right. Height 33 cm. Condition: II -
