A German mace, 1st third of the 16th century The head with six flanges, the reinforced, curved flanges widening conically outwards, each adorned with heart-shaped openwork. The pommel cap shaped like an acorn. Hollow-wrought iron shaft, the handle offset with a roped, bulging ridge. The smooth iron handle with a semi-circular, chiselled knob. The metal surfaces with a dark aged patina. Length 60 cm.Condition: II -
