An English small-sword with a diamond-set steel hilt, circa 1780 Narrow thrusting blade of triangular section, the upper third etched with ornamental decor on a blued background. The guard plate and hilt wrought in delicate openwork, lavishly set with faceted steel beads, interspersed with small blossoms in fire-gilt steel. The original scabbard covered in white lacquered parchment. Iron furniture with attached suspension chain and openworked belt clasp. Length 101 cm.Condition: I - II
