Housed in original Backus Studio hand crafted frame designed by Willie Pelt. Bears in red previous owner's name and location on verso. No apparent signature. Painting includes Certificate of Authenticity from Florida Art Appraisals, written by art specialist Kathleen P. Fredrick. Certificate states, "This painting, though unsigned, is unquestionably an original oil painting by the hand of A.E. Backus." Backus mentored and influenced the Florida Highwaymen movement.
