Ricietl Vurkovitsky (Colombian, born 1952). Monumental Modern Art figural statue. Bronze, brass, black marble and stainless steel. Titled "El Heraldo" ("The Herald"). Created 2011 in a style invoking the work of Fernando Botero. A whimsical allegorical figure of a boy herald with a trumpet horn supported by stainless steel stilts on black marble block. Includes copy of 2012 appraisal. Original signed Certificate of Authenticity from AICOA (Archivo Internacional Central de Objetos de Arte), and Colombian export control authorization, with printed artist series information. Figure measures approximately 16 in. x 12 in. x 12 in. Base measures 16 in. x 16 in. x 16 in. Horn measures approximately 33 in. length. Foundry stamp back of right upper thigh.
