Frances A. Barothy (American, 1884-1957). Lovely hand painted American Satsuma covered jar decorated in a vibrant floral and geometric pattern using raised enamels. Retaining original gold gilt. Hand signed in black underglaze “F. A. Barothy”. The artist studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and was an active member of the Atlan Ceramic Arts Club from 1901-1928.
