Florence Donovan Pratt Steward (American, 1851-1921). Lovely hand painted American Satsuma covered jar decorated in Art Deco floral pattern using raised enamels. Retaining original gold gilt. Hand signed in bronze underglaze “Prosperity will follow you, F. Steward, ATLAN”. The artist founded the Atlan Ceramic Art Club in 1894 and was elected director general for life in 1910.
