Half-length Hoffmann portrait of Adolf Hitler in party uniform, below which his handwritten dedication and signature in black ink (tr.): "To Dr. Ing. Erich Müller on his 50th birthday with my best wishes - Headquarters, 2 Nov. 1942. - Adolf Hitler". Under glass in a hand-hammered silver frame with a three-tiered profile edge and appliquéd party eagle on the bottom, with the initials "A" and "H", edged with a band of meander. The top stamped with the jeweller's mark "FHW" (Franz und Hermann Wandinger, Munich), the mark of fineness "925", with crescent and crown, and the Munich silver mark. The back and the stand covered in brown morocco leather. Dimensions 34.5 x 24 cm. Prof. Erich Müller (1892 - 1963) was the head of the artillery development department at Friedrich Krupp AG, a member of the management board and, inter alia, responsible for the guns named Schwerer Gustav and Dora. On 30 January 1942, he was appointed professor by Adolf Hitler as one of the (tr.)
