A porcelain figure entitled "The Dagger Bearer", model 136 by the artist Richard Förster, in glazed white porcelain. The body wrought with meticulous attention to detail, a dagger at his side. A defect in the glaze/the paint slightly abraded at the base of the scarf and at the crotch/dagger. Inscribed "R. Förster" on the side of the rock pedestal.Although Förster designed the juggler series in 1942, it was not until 1944 that the figures were displayed in the "German Artists" exhibition in Wrocław. They were available for purchase soon after. The series numbers produced were not documented. The "SS Allach" mark stamped in the underside, height 23 cm, good condition, extremely rare.Condition: II
