Maker F. W. Holler, Solingen, model no. 21, nickel-plated, slightly curved blade with manufacturer's logo on ricasso. Gilt lion-style hilt decorated with inserted red glass eyes. Obverse languet depicting national eagle with folded wings. Backstrap, knuckle bow and ferrule decorated with oak leaf pattern, lions head at tip of crossguard. Black celluloid grip with triple brass wire wrap. No blade washer. Refinished black lacquered scabbard with movable attachment ring.
