Nickel-plated hilt with riveted staghorn-grip plates. Nickel-plated blade, engraved dedication â€œhonor, strength, freedom”. Stamped manufacturer's logo â€œEICKHORN”. Black lacquered scabbard and black leather frog. Early references state that this was possibly carried by members of the 271st Infantry Regiment â€œFeldherrnhalle”, but a later author states that it was for the NS school at Feldafing, based on an invoice found in the Eickhorn files.
