A Chinese bronze statue of Guangong in his military aspect dating from the Ming dynasty with a wire stand. Guangong is seated wearing armor. Dimensions are: 8 1/4 inches tall X 5 inches wide, 21 cm X 12.7 cm. Weight: 600 grams. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The object in his right hand, probably a spear, is missing. There are significant areas of loss. There is cracking to one leg of the seat. Age appropriate wear. Provenance: From the collection of Mr. Williams in Texas. Mr. Williams has more than 50 years of collecting experience in Buddhist sculptures, paintings, and ritual objects from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Tibet, and the Central Plains of China.
