AN UNUSUAL IRON-RED CLOISONNE ENAMEL VASE WITH PEONY AND CHRYSANTHEMUM Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912) The ovoid body rising from a short spreading foot and short waisted neck with everted rim, decorated with bright enamels depicting peonies and chrysanthemums with leaves and buds, all reserved against the iron-red ground.
