The seventh member of the crew is John Glenn. A living legend, Glenn is an inspiration to many Americans, not the least of which include his fellow astronauts aboard Discovery. "He's an adventurer, an experimenter, a space pioneer," said the mission's commander, U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Curt Brown. "If it wasn't for him, I'm not sure I would be doing what I'm doing today."
