黄花梨制书箱，周身光素，正面镶有圆形面叶和云头拍子，侧面安弧形提环。此黄花梨箱色泽沉穆，材质纹理美观。造型典雅，包浆莹润，工艺考究，耐人寻味，历史气息浓郁。 明清小箱实物传世者基本为长方形，多为黄花梨制，从尺寸及形制来看，当时主要用来存放文件簿册或珍贵细软物品。
