Sam Provenzano (American, 1923-1999). Oil on canvas abstract expressionist painting with geometric color fields of yellow, blue, white, and green. Signed along the lower right. Provenzano was a student of Hans Hoffmann (1880-1966), a key player in the Abstract Expressionism movement. Hoffmann was a significant influence on post-war American avant-garde artists.
