幅作者简介：刘开渠（1904-1993），男，江苏省萧县（今安徽省萧县）人。雕塑家，早年毕业于北平美术学校。后赴法国，入巴黎国立高等美术学院雕塑系学习。其艺术风格融中西雕塑手法于一炉，手法写实，造型简练、准确、生动。先后任杭州艺术专科学校校长、杭州市副市长、中央美术学院华东分院院长、中央美术学院副院长、中国美术馆馆长、中国美术家协会副主席，担任八届全国政协委员、民盟中央文化委员会主任等。
