Hsiao Chi'en*萧乾 英国伦敦1942年Georae Allen & Unwin Ltd出版精装一册提要：拍品精装一册，为萧干赠予玛丽·雪瑞敦·琼思（Mary Shenidan Jones）之书，扉页有萧干手书三色赠言，1942年签于伦敦，黑色为中文毛笔签赠，紫色与绿色钢笔为英文拼写与释义，较为罕见。此书是萧干1939年10月至1946年6月间于英国工作期间，应贺尔门·欧鲁德的约稿，为其主编的《笔会丛书》所写的一部英文书，向西方世界介绍中国的“文艺复兴”，即白话文运动。萧干（1910年1月27日-1999年2月11日），原名萧秉干、萧炳干。北京八旗蒙古人。中国现代记者、作家、文学家、翻译家。历任中国作家协会理事、顾问，全国政协委员，中央文史馆馆长等。
