由上下两个部分，以子母口衔接成鸭式香薰造型。鸭为上等精铜所制，呈昂首站立鸣啼状，通身錾刻羽纹。腹部内空，可贮香料，其上履羽翅为盖，香气通过张开的鸭口飘出。底置一方形铜座，鸭之双脚踏于底座之上。 唐宋以来，香事文化盛行，用香薰香，上至庙堂下到普罗民众无不热衷。鸭形香薰便流行于两宋，成为香事器物的亮丽风景线。此香薰为仿宋代器型，嘴部、羽纹、腿部、爪部都力求写实，比例合理，姿态挺拔；整体构思奇巧，设计合理，是同类作品的代表。
