22 kt Gelbgold, 14 kt Rotgold. 22k yellow gold and 14k red gold pendant with an oval Sassanian style lapis lazuli intaglio depicting two priests at an altar. The closed setting decorated with four bird appliqués, granulation and filigree cords and suspending three sodalite bead droplets with corresponding bird models. Suspended from a later necklace of cord style links with a hook and eye clasp. Total H pendant 7 cm. Chain L 50 cm. Probably 19th C., using ancient fragments.
