|器物玉质为青白玉，局部有褐色沁斑。器体扁平，正圆形。两面纹饰完全相同，正背两面用压地隐起的雕法浅浮雕勾连纹，勾连纹饱满，弯曲转折，排列有序，疏密有致，布满整个器身。排列整齐整器形式古朴，去地平整，工艺精良，体量周正，比例协调，线条流畅自然，展现了战国玉器高超的制作水准，深具上古礼器之神秘威严，令人爱不释手。|《周礼．典瑞》：“子执谷壁，男执蒲璧。”谷纹最早出现在春秋时期的玉器中，当时黄河流域农耕文明正辉煌灿烂，其取自谷物发芽时形态，象征着万物苏醒，生机勃勃的景象，以及人们对风调雨顺之向往。汉宣帝时曾以方士言，为随侯（珠），剑宝、玉宝璧、周康宝鼎立四祠于未央宫中，可见玉璧直至汉代仍为礼仪用器，地位崇高。
