赏析：香薰以精铜为材，做成夔牛形，以范铸法成型后，再施刀雕饰细节，气息朴实敦厚，而毛发等细节则开丝精细，包浆浑厚古雅，造型生动，气势不凡。夔牛身形矫健，肋下筋骨毕现，颈部、四肢鬃毛显现，更添威猛兼寓祥瑞之态。前腿挺立，后腿曲蹲。其头顶生独角，粗眉圆目，口微张，可吐烟云之气。首作仰望之感，双耳长尾，四足为器足，筋肉苍劲，动态稳健。背部镂空可作香熏。包浆温润，品相佳。应属置于清代中期文房案桌之上之陈设用品，放置其中祥瑞之态尽显。
