A LARGE LOBED LACQUER BOX China, Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1912). The body made of coated fabric and composite, which then was lacquered in red. Divided into twelves lobes with hand painted gold decorations, incorporating flowers, butterflies, and the Chinese character for happiness.
