THREE JADE CARVINGS OF ZODIAC ANIMALS, LATE QING China, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) The first carved as a crouching rabbit with the ears laid back, the stone of a white tone with cloudy inclusions; the second carved as a recumbent goat with neatly incised horns and beard, the stone of a white color; the third carved as a crouching rat, the stone of a pale celadon tone. The rabbit and rat are both pierced between the front paws for suspension as a pendant. Condition: Very good condition with minor wear. Provenance: US private collection in California.
