Kangxi period (1662-1722). Painted with two phoenixes surrounding a central roundel depicting two song-birds on prunus sprigs, the stepped well painted with a green dotted band reserved with peony flowers and foliage between four alternate cartouches of carp and lobsters, all below a molded 'pie-crust' rim, in famille verte, gilt and iron-red enamel. Condition: a short tight hairline to the edge, approximately 5/8" or 1.5 cm, otherwise excellent condition. Diameter: 9 1/4", 23.5cm.
