A Chinese Blue and White Service Comprising: two tureens, stands and covers, two sauce boats, two deep serving trays, one large oval tray, two slightly smaller, and two small oval trays, and plates (in all 68 pieces); each decorated in underglaze blue, the tureens with boars head handles and crown, the plates with foliate rim, each piece with a design of figures in a watery landscape with pavilions nestled among rocky peaks, two row-boats making their way from one jetty to the other on the opposite shore, birds in ‘V’ formation overhead, the borders abundant with floral sprays and expressively-drawn butterflies.
