A masterpiece of sculpture of jade-like material. Meticulously carved to imitate the Gen Jee Zwen of Western Zhou (see, e.g., photo 0442, p.127 of The Best Cultural Object of China, Bronze Section, ISBN 7-5326-0376-8/J.12). It is heavy for its size and has a great pale green color with small light brown inclusions.
