A PAIR OF FRENCH GILT AND PATINATED BRONZE FIGURAL CHENETS LATE 19TH CENTURY, IN THE LOUIS XVI STYLE Each cast with a standing amorino warming his hands by a flaming urn 38cm high, 33cm wide Condition Report: Minor marks, knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and use, as well as some surface pitting to gilt portions (including one shallow circa 1cm long casting inconsistency above one of the billet bars). The putti appear to have been lacquered and have a slightly thicker, glossier finish in places particularly surrounding the hair and hands, with thin casting joins visible to the upper arms (result of manufacture). One of the rosettes on the bases is a little loose, as are one or two of the feet. Condition Report Disclaimer
