A PAIR OF BLACK PAINTED CAST IRON GARDEN SEATS IN THE COALBROOKDALE 'GOTHIC' PATTERN, SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY Each with armorial with faint traces of blue painted decoration, pierced back above slatted seat, apparently unmarked each 98cm high, 73cm wide, 55cm deep Provenance: The Private Collection of Sir David and Lady Scholey This design is recorded in the Coalbrookdale castings catalogue for 1875, pattern No. 22.
