Gino Lo Russo-Toma (Bisceglie1928 – Turi 2000) Having studied singing in Rome, then perfected studies in Milan in the forties, he made his debut as the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto held in the capital of Lombardy, then co-starred in Cavalleria rusticana, with soprano Maria Caniglia [1].Especially he loved by critics, in the course of his career he has performed throughout Europe and Asia, playing nine performances of which over one hundred replies were represented.He has recorded for the label SONORITAS the world premiere recording of Messa di Gloria in F major by Pietro Mascagni.Having also inaugurated various places such as the Grand Theater at the Conference Center of The Hague and the Congress Centrum Theater Rai - gebouw in Amsterdam, he has retired from the stage in 1981 and began to teach singing in Puglia. His teaching activity continued until 1999, when he was attacked by two criminals with the intention to rob the house.
